PROFESSOR OF WORSHIP AND PREACHING
The appointee will teach in the field of Worship and Preaching, enabling students of the Theological College and the United Faculty of Theology (an ecumenical associated teaching institution of the Melbourne College of Divinity) to develop their knowledge and skill in these areas, and to integrate this into their ministry by becoming competent in the leadership of liturgy and faithful in proclamation of the Gospel.
The appointee will participate in the preparation and formation of candidates for the Uniting Church Ministries, and resource the wider Uniting Church in its worship life and proclamation of the Gospel.

ST. ANDREW'S COLLEGE, SASKATOON,
seeks a tenure-track PROFESSOR OF PASTORAL STUDIES,
with a specialization in Christian Worship.
Teaching and research interest in at least one other area of pastoral studies (e.g., music, congregational life, Christian formation) would be an asset. Applicants require an earned ThD/PhD (or equivalent degree) in pastoral studies, completed or near completion; demonstrated experience and competence in congregational worship leadership; and knowledge and critical appreciation of the worship practices and ethos of The United Church of Canada. The successful candidate will teach introductory and advanced/elective courses in Christian public worship and other area(s) of pastoral studies as appropriate to training and interests, collaborate in the integrative teaching program of the college, and participate in ongoing academic research and the administrative life of the college and the Saskatoon Theological Union. Starting date may be January 1, 2009 or July 1, 2009.

DIRECTOR OF RELIGIOUS STUDIES ,
to be hired at the rank of Full Professor or Associate Professor.
Appointment will be made with tenure in an appropriate disciplinary department in the College of Arts and Sciences. The University of New Mexico is a major public research university with a highly diverse student body. The Religious Studies Program is a large interdisciplinary program within the College of Arts & Sciences, with participation of faculty and students from across the entire university.
Minimum qualifications: A) an earned PhD degree in an appropriate field; B) A record of
scholarship, teaching, and service that will qualify the applicant for tenure in one of the
following Arts and Sciences departments: English, Sociology, Anthropology, History, American
Studies, or Philosophy; C) a record of scholarly excellence with a significant focus on religion
and/or cultural dynamics of society closely linked to religion; D) a demonstrated commitment to
the values of a public university; E) and, past teaching experience in areas relevant to religion,
with evidence of excellence.
Preferred qualifications:
1) Outstanding leadership in administration and institution-building within an academic setting; 2) Demonstrated interest in supporting scholarly work on religion; 3) Knowledge and skills to continue building the program; 4) and Demonstrated capacity to work cooperatively with faculty and administrative colleagues.
