Fr. Godfrey Diekmann, OSB (1908-2002)
The Minneapolis Tribune is reporting the death of Fr. Godfrey Diekmann at the care center of St. John's Abbey in Collegeville. He was 93. The paper has a rather lengthy article on Fr. Diekmann which states, "Diekmann's death, at the age of 93 marks the end of nearly a century of important theological contibruitons by the Benedictine monastery, dating to a monastic-priest named Virgil Michel (1890 - 1938) and closing with Diekmann."
Truly the passing of a giant.
